This website focuses on including students with disabilities in our schools
and communities. It is a forum in which teachers, education administrators,
parents/ guardians, students, therapists, school paraprofessionals, and
college/university faculty may share their inclusion-related experiences,
knowledge and beliefs. Through this news group, people may exchange ideas,
ask questions and, together, create effective strategies for providing inclusive
opportunities for students with diverse learning needs. There are no teachers,
only learners. There is a dynamic body of knowledge being developed “in
the trenches” that should be shared. Those who feel isolated may benefit
by sharing with others who face comparable challenges in similar “trenches.”
This website, then, is a vehicle for learning together the many and different
ways to accommodate diversity in our schools.
